Inspired by print ephemera and food found in small supermarkets on her travels, Louise has created a series of packaging themed prints.

This bright 3 colour risograph print was printed in the UK using eco-friendly inks onto 200gsm part recycled card stock, which is made by a Bristol paper mill and is acid free. Risograph prints vary from print to print, making each one unique in texture and depth of colour. They can have marks, smudges and blobs which are all part of the process and adds to the handmade look and feel of the artwork.

Louise Lockhart aka The Printed Peanut is an avid people watcher and loves watching the world around her. She takes inspiration from vintage textiles, folk art, children’s books and old print ephemera, of which she has a large collection surrounding her cluttered desk. She creates her work by cutting out shapes from paper with a big pair of brass scissors, aiming for a playful line and unintended wonkiness. Her unique and recognisable work is often infused with humour and joy, making her designs loved and collected by a wide range of people.
